Hi, I am Lyn LeFevre.

I first became interested in photography when my mom took my family to a drive through safari. I took lots of photos with my totally cool disposable camera. I thought the pictures were wonderful. Years later my brother asked for a camera for Christmas and got one. Being the little sister and always trying to prove myself, I asked for one the very next year. I declared that I wanted to be a photographer, just like I had declared throughout my childhood I wanted to be a ballerina, gymnast, baton twirler, cheerleader, and even the first girl football player. My parents are great and have always encouraged me to follow my dreams, so they bought me a completely automatic zoom camera. I appreciated their gesture, but that camera was not going to teach me the mechanics behind a camera.

Not long after, I left home to go to college ( Auburn University). Before the semester started I got a job right down the street from the famous Toomer's Corner. The store that I worked at (Pass Around Sound) just happened to be right next to Cameragraphics, a local processing lab. This is where I met Mike, my mentor. I came in the shop enough for him to realize I was really into photographing everything and anything. First he started giving suggestions on how I could make my photos better. After I continuously asked for his opinion I guess I proved my sincerity to learn the craft. Mike helped me pick out a camera that I could manually adjust so I could learn what shutter speeds, f-stops, aperture, and so on did and how they worked. He would give me photography assignments and would critique my work over and over. After a couple years of this training he started taking me with him to his photo jobs. We would compare our work with each other so I could see what improvements I needed to make. His photographs would end up in magazines, mine ended up in a frame at my parents house (they're proud no matter what). Mike eventually trusted my work enough to send me on photo jobs by myself. After Auburn I moved to Montgomery so I could attend AUM (Auburn in Montgomery) and become certified in photography. I did become a certified photographer and I also went to Faulkner University and got a bachelors degree in business.
